Stanford University doctors compared the effects of chemotherapy to doing nothing in patients with slow-growing tumors of the lymph nodes. If you thumb through a Physician's Desk Reference, which is a very thick volume that details all the thousands and thousands of pharmaceuticals sold and prescribed by MD's, you will find that over and over and over again under the heading, "Mechanism of Action" it reads "UNKNOWN."
